Arjun to Address AMU Convocation

ALIGARH, 27 February 2005 — India’s Minister of Human Resource Development Arjun Singh will be the chief guest at the 56th Annual Convocation of the Aligarh Muslim University scheduled for March 2. Arjun will also deliver the convocation address on the occasion.

The university will confer doctorate of literature (honoris causa) on Arjun Singh and Dr. Gholam Ali Haddad Adel, speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament) of Iran. Over 4,000 students will be awarded degrees and medals during the convocation ceremony, a university press release said.
