RIYADH: Saudi aid agency KSrelief’s latest humanitarian operations have involved delivering food and shelter to tens of thousands of people in four countries, amid ongoing crises there.
In Yemen, the organization provided more than 100 tents in Al-Jawf governorate as part of an emergency relief program, benefiting more than 600 displaced people.
It also distributed 660 cartons of dates to almost 4,000 vulnerable and disabled people in Al-Mukalla district, Hadramout governorate.
In Mali, the agency provided 450 food baskets to needy families and people with special needs in Bamako, benefiting 2,700 individuals, as part of a food security program.
It also distributed 2,875 cartons of dates to vulnerable groups in Chad, benefiting 17,250 individuals, as part of a program to distribute 800 tonnes of dates.
KSrelief’s central kitchen provided 26,580 hot meals across central and southern Gaza, benefiting thousands of vulnerable people.
The agency also distributed 531 food baskets to vulnerable people in Khan Younis, benefiting more than 3,000 individuals affected by the conflict.
Since its establishment in 2015, KSrelief, in partnership with close to 350 organizations, has implemented more than 4,200 projects in 113 countries, with a combined value of more than $8.3 billion.
These programs cover food security, water, sanitation and hygiene, health, camp coordination, education, protection and emergency aid.
