AL-DAWADMI, 21 March 2005 — Al-Dawadmi province, west of Riyadh, witnessed to a unique, high-tech goat auction, Al-Watan reported. A large number of people had gathered in the livestock market to buy and sell rare goats. For the first time in the area, the event was advertised on the Internet. Many rare goats were sold in the auction for prices ranging from SR2,000 to SR25,000.
