Candidates With Makeup Draw Flak

TAIF, 18 April 2005 — Several people in Taif have expressed their anger at candidates who advertise their pictures with makeup on, Al-Madinah reported. They allege that candidates put on makeup and lipstick to look presentable before the camera. They say that such demeaning behavior was not acceptable to Saudi society and that they should not go unpunished. Many of them have said that they would not vote for candidates who use cosmetics to spruce them up.
