RIYADH, 25 April 2005 — Prince Alwaleed ibn Talal, chairman of the Kingdom Hotel Investments (KHI), received an award from the Tourism Investment Forum last Saturday in Damascus. Called Damascus Award, it was presented by Syrian Prime Minister Mohamed Naji Otari in recognition of Prince Alwaleed’s contribution to tourism with his investments in Damascus Four Seasons Hotel and significant influence in the tourism and resort sectors in Syria through KHI. The Damascus Four Seasons is worth $100 million, and consists of over 200 guest rooms and suites, 5 restaurants and prestigious conference and meeting areas.
