RIYADH, 5 May 2005 — Western Union Financial Services, Inc., a worldwide leader in money transfer services, yesterday announced a reduction in its service fees for customers sending money from the Kingdom and the Gulf to the South Asian countries of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Bhutan and the Maldives.
Customers living or working in the Gulf who want to send money to these destinations will benefit immediately from the new rates.
Fees from UAE to South Asia starts from AED25 for transactions up to AED11,010, from Kuwait it is KD2 for transactions up to KD900, from Oman: OR2.50 for transactions up to OR1160, from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia fees are SR25 for transactions up to SR11.250, from Bahrain it is BD2.5 for transaction up to BD1,150, from Qatar, QR25 for up to QR11,100 and from Yemen it is $7 for transactions up to $3000.
