CAIRO, 6 July 2005 — Shrouded in secrecy, prominent Egyptian singer Amr Diab will release his album on July 22, 2005.
He has been working on the album since the beginning of the year. Amr has not revealed any details of the ablbum — neither the title nor the names of the 11 songs. The singer has collaborated with a number of prominent composers, and sought the assistance of music distributor Fahed, husband of Egyptian singer, Angham.
On a different matter, Amr denied rumors that he plans to run for election to the Egyptian Parliament.
