Taawnia to Join Health Insurance System

JEDDAH, 13 July 2005 — The board for Health Cooperative Insurance approved giving preliminary qualification to Taawnia Insurance to join the mandatory health insurance system. Based on this the Taawnia would be able to work in the health insurance field which it began in its first phases in June. The first phase includes Saudi establishments that have more than 500 non-Saudi employees. It will start on the second phase in Jan. 1, 2006 which includes establishments with 100 to 500 foreign employees. The third phase will begin in June 1, 2006 to include establishments with less than 100 employees.
