JEDDAH, 19 July 2005 — Nine Saudi photographers from the Jeddah Photographers’ Group are showing a selection of their work at King Faisal Specialist Hospital. The photos range from landscape, street and abstract to microphotography.
Photographers Saud Mahjoub, Baker Sindi, Nabeel Jambi, Fouad Sultan and Sultan Mandili founded the group five years ago, after their split from “House of Artists Society.” Since then, they have participated in several exhibitions and competitions both locally and outside the Kingdom.
“When founding this group we wanted to show the ability of Saudi photographers to produce professional photos and to enrich the quality of local photography,” said Baker Sindi one of the group founders.
The display is part of community continuity programs run by King Faisal Hospital. The exhibition is open in the main reception area of the hospital until next Monday, any time of the day, as part of 2005 Jeddah Festival cultural events.
