JEDDAH, 29 July 2005 — Saudi International Chamber of Commerce is organizing the first introductory meeting with the International Court of Arbitration headquartered in Paris in order to form a Saudi arbitration committee that will work under the ICA, reported Al- Madinah newspaper. The meeting will be attended by Prince Bandar Ibn Salman Ibn Mohammed Al-Saud, consultant at the crown prince’s office and the president of the Saudi arbitration team and president of Saudi International Arbitration Committee and a member of the ICA. A number of lawmen and international arbitrators will speak on international arbitration laws. Secretary-General of the Saudi International Chamber of Commerce, Abdul Rahman Al-Mufreh, said this meeting is important because through it the first Saudi committee for arbitration would be formed and it will work with the ICA in Paris to represent the Saudi perspective on international cases.
