JEDDAH, 9 August 2005 — The CEO of Kuwait National Bank, Ibrahim Shukri, told Al-Eqtisadiyah newspaper that the first branch of the bank in Saudi Arabia would open in Jeddah by the end of the year. He said that the bank would continue its expansion plans by opening a branch in Saudi Arabia and another in China this year. It is the first national bank in Kuwait and was established in 1952. Besides its 48 branches in Kuwait, it has branches in London, New York, Geneva, Paris, Singapore, Lebanon, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar and Iraq.
