CAIRO, 12 August 2005 — Prominent Egyptian actress Mervat Amin has declined all recent offers to star in forthcoming films, “How can I accept roles as a guest of honor or as supporting cast, after the long journey I have taken, and after all the honorary awards I have received,” Mervat mused.
The actress stressed that her focus on television drama is not a substitute for the cinema, and that all of the dramas she has starred in have augmented her career and her image.
The actress is currently filming the final scenes of her upcoming television drama “Riyah Al Ghadr” (Winds of Deception), directed by Rida Al Najjar.
