The X800XT 256MB PE was introduced late 2004 by ATI to compete with NVIDIA’s 6800Ultra. ATI’s New X800XT promises new standards in graphics performance, visual realism and High-Definition Gaming. The card is available in both AGP and PCI-Express. In this review, we’ll briefly explore the card’s features and benchmark performance.

Benchmark Performance:
The X800XT PE’s FPS in the following games was: FarCry 65FPS, X2; The Threat 90FPS, Unreal2004 98FPS, Doom3 75FPS and Half-Life 2 104FPS. The Graphics Settings were High Quality and 1024x768. The Tested System was P4 3.2, 1024MB RAM, 160GB Hard-disk and Creative Audigy 2.
Conclusion:
ATI X800XT 256MB PE’s performance was wonderful. The Card insures that current demanding games are playable and enjoyable at higher resolution and quality settings. In addition, the card also supports 720p and 1080i modes which allow you the user to output video from the computer to an HDTV.
