1.5m Visitors at Abha Festival

ABHA, 27 August 2005 — The deputy governor of Asir, Prince Faisal ibn Khaled, praised the role that Abha festival played in strengthening domestic tourism, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported. The Abha festival, which ended yesterday, attracted more than 1.5 million visitors during the 38 days length of the festival. Visitors spent more than SR600 million on amusement parks, shopping markets and hotel industry. The festival also attracted more than 500 companies.
