JCCI to Announce Names of Candidates

JEDDAH, 5 September 2005 — The names of the candidates for the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCC) board of directors will be announced tomorrow, reported Al-Madinah newspaper. The supervising committee on the JCCI elections of its board of directors refused the nomination applications presented by more than ten women. A total of 51 men nominated themselves by the end of Saturday, the last day to submit the applications. Ten of the applications were withheld until the applicants could have a chance to complete the form. The candidates have two weeks to raise any objections. The candidates are competing over 12 seats.
