SNAS/DHL, Saudi Arabia’s major logistics solutions provider, on Tuesday launched its extended ‘Be a hero’ annual blood donation campaign across the Kingdom. The company teamed up with the Ministry of Health and the National Blood Bank for the launch event, held at the Jeddah Hilton. The initiative was part of SNAS/DHL’s commitment to advancing national causes and answered calls from MOH officials, hospitals and medical centers kingdomwide particularly for rare blood types. SNAS/DHL’s participation has been part of a strong national response, which has previously seen more than 300,000 donors in the Kingdom contribute annually. A total of 12,000 of these have been granted the medal of merit for donating their blood 10 times in answer to a royal decree authorized by late King Fahd. The life-saving ‘Be a hero’ donors’ campaign has received an enthusiastic response from SNAS/DHL, where almost one in two staff are Saudi nationals.
