Jhankaar 2005 at IISJ Today

JEDDAH, 23 September 2005 — Jhankaar 2005, a high-decibel cultural program for women, will be held at the International Indian School-Jeddah (Boys Section) today.

According to Farha Sayeed, wife of Indian Consul General Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, the colorful program, which is part of the ongoing India Festival, is meant exclusively for women and will celebrate Indian culture. The program will focus on the dances of India, a rendezvous with Bollywood, and brides of India.

The monthlong festival, which has given a big boost to the growing Saudi-Indian ties, is being held under the patronage of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The program starts at 7 p.m. and is open only to those with invitations.
