Sweet Factory Run by Overstayers Closed Down

JEDDAH, 16 October 2005 — Municipal inspectors recently closed down an illegal sweet factory run by 15 overstayers, according to Al-Madinah newspaper. The factory was located in Binladin Street in Jeddah. Police and municipality officials seized and destroyed a large quantity of sweets prepared un-hygienically. The overstayers cook the sweets and sell them the next day in the local market, putting consumers in great health risk.
