Egyptian Worker Killed in Trench Collapse

ABHA, 10 November 2005 — An Egyptian worker died and five others were injured when the walls of a trench they were digging to lay sewage mains collapsed, Al-Watan reported yesterday. Colleagues tried in vain to rescue the Egyptian worker who was buried. Help arrived too late and the contracting company had to use heavy equipment to dig him out. The body was found eight hours after the accident.
