JEDDAH, 16 December 2005 — The British Council recently felicitated eight local students for their outstanding performance at the Cambridge international exam held in June. They included four from Bangladesh International School (BIS) (English Section), and two each from Manarat School and Global International School. “This has been the biggest achievement in the history of our school,” BIS acting Principal Dr. Vandana said. Four students of BIS include Abdullah Faisal Abdur Rouf Bhuiyan, who was ranked fourth in the world for Cambridge A level exam for business studies; Shadee M. Sircar, 259th in the A level exam for economics; Osama Mohammed Ali, 22nd in the IGCSE exam for physics; and Raian Farooq, 11th in the IGCSE exam for economics.
