JEDDAH, 23 December 2005 — A source at the Ministry of Defense and Aviation has said that reports in the media yesterday that the Kingdom had signed a deal worth more than $70 billion with Britain for the supply of fighter jets had highly exaggerated the amount involved.
The amount mentioned in the reports was much higher than what has been agreed upon, the source was quoted as saying by the Saudi Press Agency.
