RIYADH/JEDDAH, 14 August 2006 — Indian expatriates will celebrate their country’s 60th Independence Day tomorrow. Ambassador M.O.H. Farook and Consul General Dr. Ausaf Sayeed will hoist the national flag and read out President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s message at the embassy in Riyadh and the consulate at Jeddah, respectively. The celebration will be held at 8 a.m. in Riyadh and 7:30 a.m. in Jeddah. All Indian nationals are invited to attend the ceremony. The ambassador is hosting an official reception at the International Indian School-Riyadh (Girls Section) later in the evening.
Indian Consular Visit
JEDDAH, 14 August 2006 — A consular team of the Consulate General of India (CGI) will visit Abha on Thursday (Aug. 17). The team will stay at Hotel Al Rayah (07-2270654). It will receive applications for consular services from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will deliver the processed documents on the following day (Friday, Aug. 18) between 5 p.m and 6 p.m.
Pak Consular Visit
RIYADH, 14 August 2006 — The consular team of the Embassy of Pakistan will visit Gurayyat region from Thursday-Friday (Aug. 17-18) for rendering consular services. The team will establish its office at Hotel Al-Yousaf (04-6426464).
