DUBAI, 6 August 2006 — ETA Star has become the first property developer to achieve the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 certification. The certification to ETA Star was awarded by the Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), after being found to meet stringent International Quality Management System requirements.
Lloyd’s Register Quality Assessment had carried out a comprehensive audit of all key processes and sub processes of ETA Star, including project management, design, business development, sales, marketing, customer relationship management, facilities management, etc. After finding each of the departments to meet the prescribed quality requirements, LRQA formally certified ETA Star to the ISO 9001:2000 International Quality Management Standard, making the Dubai-headquartered company the first and only property developer in the region to receive the prestigious recognition.
“This is a proud moment for us, and reflects the continual improvement credo we set for ourselves,” said Abid A. Junaid, executive director, ETA Star. “ETA Star has built its reputation on a singular focus on quality, and it is a testament to our firm adherence to international quality standards that we have become the first property developer to achieve this certification in a market teeming with big names.
