BHOPAL, India, 20 February 2006 — The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to hand over an inquiry into corruption cases against a former speaker of the state assembly, Sriniwas Tiwari, to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), on the recommendation of Justice Shachindra Dwivedi Committee. The one-member Dwivedi Committee was formed on the directives of the Madhya Pradesh High Court and it published a detailed report 10 days ago.
