DAMMAM, 22 February 2006 — An official source at the Saudi Geological Survey yesterday confirmed that the Eastern Province was hit by a minor tremor at 10 p.m. on Monday. The source said residents in the region had not felt the tremor measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale as its epicenter was in the Arabian Gulf. A civil defense source in Ahsa said they had not received any calls related to the quake from the public.
