JEDDAH, 17 March 2006 — Prince Alwaleed ibn Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding, announced yesterday that his company would float 30 percent of its shares on the Saudi bourse for public subscription this year.
Speaking to Al-Eqtisadiah, a sister publication of Arab News, he said the floatation of 30 percent was in line with Capital Market Authority regulations.
The announcement came after Alwaleed said Kingdom Holding would invest up to SR10 billion ($2.6 billion) in the Saudi stock market.
