MADINAH, 18 March 2006 — As many as 227 Kyrgyz pilgrims left here yesterday for their home country after performing Umrah at the expense of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, the Saudi Press Agency said. The Kyrgyz had left their country for Saudi Arabia to perform Haj but reached the Kingdom only after the end of the Haj season as a result of some obstacles including heavy snowfalls in Russia. “When the king knew about their situation, he instructed Saudi authorities to make arrangements to help these pilgrims perform Umrah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah,” the agency said.
