Greedy Husband Charges Wife to Visit Parents

MADINAH, 17 April 2006 — A husband imposed a SR500 charge on his wife whenever she wanted to see her family, Al-Watan reported. The greedy husband claimed that it cost him that much to travel back and forth to see her family, although the couple lives only a few kilometers from the wife’s parents house. The charge increased during holidays and festive occasions. Friends of the wife warned her and suggested she buy a car to bridle the greedy husband. They suspect that he is collecting the money in order to marry another wife.
