JEDDAH, 29 October 2006 — The Saudi Football League action resumed yesterday with two matches taking place. Al-Ahli and Al-Faisali played out a goalless draw at Jeddah’s Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium.
Al-Ahli, in fourth place with seven points, had hoped to lock the game’s three points against newcomers Al-Faisali.
But Al-Ahli failed to score in spite of a host of chances and stayed fourth with eight points while Al-Faisali remained 10th with four points.
In Riyadh, at the Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Stadium, Talal Al-Meshal gave Al-Nasr three points after scoring a killer goal in the 90th minute against Al-Taie of Hail.
Nasr jumped to 9th position with six points. Taie remain 5th with seven points.
In today’s fixtures, Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal are set to play a tough match in Riyadh.
Al-Shabab will play against Al-Qadisiya in Dammam, while Al-Wehda take on Al-Hazem in Makkah.
