JEDDAH, 14 May 2006 — The Ministry of Higher Education has rescheduled the date for accepting scholarship applications for the second time.
The exact date of starting applications will be available on the ministry’s website — www.mohe.gov.sa — next week when the date currently on the website will be amended.
The rescheduling was to coordinate the application process for the United States and for Eastern countries, said Abdullah Al-Moajil, deputy minister of cultural relations in the Ministry of Higher Education.
“After we decided to send our students on scholarships to Eastern countries, we postponed the date for the US applications so that we can begin receiving all scholarship requests on the same date,” he explained.
Eastern countries which will accept Saudi students are Australia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, India and China.
