ARAR, 14 May 2006 — After losing an undisclosed sum of money in the stock market, a high-school principal banned the use of red ink by teachers to grade papers, the daily Okaz reported yesterday. Instead, he issued a decree saying that all papers should be marked up in green ink. The report did not say whether the school principal is crazy, or merely excessively superstitious. But the report did point out that this man is in charge of educating a number of Saudi youths.
