Khaled Kamel has recently been appointed as Saudi Arabia country manager, Imaging and Printing Group (IPG), HP Middle East. Kamel joined HP in 2000 as business development manager for Large Format Printers in the Middle East and was quickly promoted to manage the sales of PC’s, servers and laptops in the Gulf and Levant regions. Khaled proved to be instrumental to the growth of HP laptops in these regions. Due to his rapid success within HP, he was again promoted to sales manager for all IPG products in the Middle East.

After the 2002 merger, Kamel was appointed as the country manager for HP IPG in the Gulf region. At that time he was overlooking the IPG business in the GCC from Dubai. With the expansion of HP’s IPG business in Saudi Arabia, Kamel is now based in Riyadh, where he will focus specifically on the Saudi market.

“Saudi Arabia is one of the most challenging and promising markets in the region and HP is fully committed to growing its business in the Kingdom. Personally, it is an exciting opportunity for me to continue building and enhancing in-country resources,” said Kamel. “This move was a strategic response to the increasing importance of Saudi Arabia and anticipated future growth within the digital imaging sector, in order to meet the burgeoning consumer demand for up-to-the-minute technology.”
