JEDDAH, 1 September 2006 — A potentially explosive clash between Al-Ahli and Al-Shabab is on cards today in the Prince Faisal Cup football tournament at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium.

At stake in the match is the Group C lead. Both teams are level on 6 points although Ahli have the edge on goal difference.

Ahli are enjoying one of their finest season starts following victories against Al-Hazem 6-1 and Taie 5-2.

Shabab will be looking to steer clear at the top of the group with an away win over Ahli. Al-Nasr hope to bring good vibes and energy when they entertain Al-Ittihad at the Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Stadium in Riyadh. With a new coach, Nasr aim to put the embarrassing 4-1 defeat last week by league newcomers Al-Faisali behind them as they go for the full three points in Group A against tough Ittihad.

Ittihad go into the match fresh off a 1-0 home win against Al-Wehda, who play host to Al-Faisali in Makkah.

Other matches today will feature Al-Hazem against Taie and Al-Qadisiya against Al-Khaleej.
