Imam Vents Ire on Teachers

JUBAIL, 5 June 2006 — Worshippers were left dumbstruck after an imam in Jubail cursed teachers during his Friday sermon, reported the Al-Watan daily. In the two weeks before exams, the imam had been sympathizing with students and praying for their success. However, on Friday the imam supplicated asking God to make hell the lives of teachers who set difficult exams. Teachers who attended the prayers were angry at the imam’s speech saying it would have been better for him to devote his Friday sermon to something far more important than resorting to attacking teachers.
