HAIL, 16 June 2006 — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah congratulated the Saudi national team for its excellent performance in the match against Tunisia in the World Cup, in Munich on Wednesday.
In a telephone call to Youth Welfare Presidency and Saudi Football Federation President Prince Sultan ibn Fahd, the king also congratulated the other members of the Saudi sports delegation to the World Cup for the brilliant performance of the national team.
Crown Prince Sultan, deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, also made a similar call to Prince Sultan and Prince Nawaf ibn Faisal to congratulate the Saudi team and other Saudi representatives at the World Cup.
Prince Sultan ibn Fahd announced that SR100,000 will be awarded to each player for their superb performance.
