Infatuated Mule Gives Girl, 5, Love Bite

TAIF, 2 July 2006 — A mule at an amusement park in this summer resort city developed an awkward infatuation with a five-year-old girl who had come with her family from Makkah to enjoy the cool weather, the Okaz daily reported. Workers at the amusement park could not understand the animal’s infatuation with the girl. However, the girl and her family found the mule’s attention rather amusing. As the family enjoyed their vacation, the mule, which had been eyeing the girl for quite a while, suddenly surged forward and took a bite on the girl’s shoulder. By-standers and workers struggled to force the mule off the crying girl, who was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
