JEDDAH, 11 July 2006 — After their campaign in the World Cup, the Saudi national football team are getting ready for their first Asian Cup qualifying game against India on Aug. 16 in India.
The list of players to enter training camp in Abha on July 26 has been approved by Youth Welfare and Saudi Football Federation President Prince Sultan ibn Fahd on recommendation by national team coach Brazilian Marcos Paqueta.
The players are as follows: Yassir Al-Missilleem, Naif Al-Qadi, Hussain Abdulghani, Mohammed Musaad and Malik Muath (Al-Ahli); Mabrouk Zaid, Hamad Al-Muntashiri, Rida Takkar, Usamah Al-Muwwalad, Ahmad Al-Doukhi, Saud Kareeri, Mohammad Nur and Mohammad Ameen (Al-Ittihad); Mustapha Malaikah (Al-Ansar); Mohammad Khoja (Al-Shabab); Abdulaziz Al-Khathran, Khalid Aziz, Omar Al-Ghamdi, Abdulatif Al-Ghannam, Nawwaf Al-Temiyat, Mohammed Al-Shalhoub, Yassir Al-Qahtani and Mohammed Al-Anbar (Al-Hilal); Ahmad Al-Bahari (Al-Ittifag); Issa Al-Mihiyani (Al-Wehda) and Saad Al-Harthy (Al-Nasr).
