‘The Pigeon Lover’ to Premiere After Ramadan

AHSA, 3 October 2006 — “Ashiq Al-Hamam” (“The Pigeon Lover”) is a new Saudi made-for-TV movie telling the story of a boy who, as the title implies, loves pigeons.

In the film, the boy’s parents become worried about his health as they read about the spread of the bird flu virus. Their attempts to stop the boy’s passion for pigeons cause a family rift, the Al-Yaum daily reported yesterday.

The film was shot in Ahsa in the Eastern Province and will be screened after Ramadan.
