JEDDAH, 17 October 2006 — Key developments in both Saudi Arabia and the UAE will be addressed at the Korean Oil & Gas Conference (KOGC 2006) set at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Seoul from Nov. 6-8. Abdallah S. Jum’ah, president and CEO, Saudi Aramco, will be the guest of honor at the event, which is expected to be opened by Korean Minister for Commerce, Industry and Energy Sye Kyun Chung.
Other representatives from Saudi Aramco include Abdulaziz F. Al-Khayyal, senior vice president, refining, marketing and international; Dr. Samir A. Tubayyeb, CEO, representative director and vice chairman, S-Oil Corporation (a Saudi Aramco joint venture company); and Abdulhakim A. Al-Gouhi, manager, crude oil sales and marketing department.
Saudi Aramco’s profile in the oil and gas business in Korea as well as its direction to meet the energy challenges of the 21st century will be addressed during the conference. Other presentations include Dubai LNG Hub Storage Project by LNG Impel of Canada and a new Middle East benchmark - balancing the interests of producers and consumers by Dubai Mercantile Exchange, UAE.
