CAIRO, 1 December 2006 — Dubai Television has offered actress Najla Fathi 5 million Egyptian pounds ($875,000) for a leading role in a new serial, the daily Al-Riyadh reported yesterday.
Najla had not made up her mind whether to accept the offer or not. The actress who had several hits in the 90s, disappeared from the big screen to start a family with her husband Producer Hamdi Qindil.
Najla began her acting career at the age of 15 in the film “Al-Asdiqa Al-Thalatha.” She appeared in more than 90 films including “Iskandariah Le” and “Sabereen.”
She won the best actress award for her role in 1994’s “Al-Garag.”
