UniTrans Budget, described as the largest car rental company in Saudi Arabia, has announced that it will soon be going public. Claimed to be the only ISO 9001 car rental company in the Kingdom, UniTrans Budget with a 28-year presence in the market, says the IPO is “sure to be a popular offering.”

Its Chairman Abdulillah A. Zahid said: “Our top priority has always been and will remain to constantly improve our services, catering to our large and growing clientele of corporate and walk-in customers.” He added that his personal objective was to ensure that the company’s services always exceeded customer expectations.

United International Transportation (UniTrans Budget Saudi Arabia) began its operations in 1978. Since then, it has grown to be the largest car rental company in the Kingdom, with operations in all major cities and towns as well as all major airports.

Supported by a fleet of over 13,000 vehicles and 11 service centers and with over 76 locations, the company says it has become the market leader in the car rental industry in the Kingdom, the Middle East and South East Asia. Its position as one of the top 100 companies in the Kingdom, UniTrans Budget reflects the effectiveness of the company’s investment in quality of service.

“Our commitment is to serve the Saudi community in the Kingdom, as well as our international customers with our superior quality service standards,” Zahid said.

At a recent ceremony in Dubai, Unitrans Budget Saudi Arabia was awarded the “Highly commended” sales promotion award for its 2005 “scratch and win” promotion in which 25 cars were given to the winners. This was followed by another prestigious award for “Best international car rental company in the Middle East and North Africa.” Both awards came as an appreciation for the role that the company is playing in developing its customer-driven promotions and for being a leader in the car rental industry and a major force in the development of the Saudi economy.
