Take Your Data and OS Everywhere
In February, Turbolinux will release a new product, Wizpy, a Linux-embedded, portable USB bootable device with digital audio capability. The product will become available first in Japan and will gradually be released in other areas of the world later in 2007.
The main concept of Wizpy is to “turn all the world’s computers into your PC.” By connecting Wizpy, a small, 60g device to any computer, you can use “your own” operating system (OS) and “your own” desktop. Web browser, e-mail and Office software will be available within Wizpy.
This separation of OS and computer brings many benefits. There is no need to carry around a laptop computer anymore because with Wizpy, all the data and applications you need are always in your hand. The security of your data is enhanced because it is always with you. You can even feel safe to trade stock online in a public space like an Internet cafe because no data is left behind on the computer. Your privacy level is also increased, because even using a shared computer, your information is never left behind to be seen by others.
In addition, Wizpy has portable digital player features including a music player, movie player, photo viewer and FM Radio.
