TABUK, 26 December 2006 — Tabuk Gov. Prince Fahd ibn Sultan stressed yesterday the need for a newspaper in the region. He was speaking after signing a contract for conducting a feasibility study on launching an Arabic daily newspaper by the Tabuk Press and Publication Establishment.

The contract was signed with the Saudi Al-Mostaqbel Company for Media. The company’s director general Ayman Muhammad Habib was present at the signing ceremony.

Prince Fahd is asking for the study as soon as possible. The prince hoped that the newspaper, which would be called Al-Sabah, would be a great success considering its geographical location and general features.

Following the signing, Ayman Habib said Prince Fahd was the driving force behind the Al-Sabah, which would portray and boost the cultural and economic development of the Kingdom in general and that of the Tabuk region in particular.
