Gang of Thieves Arrested in Riyadh

RIYADH, 1 February 2007 — Police arrested a gang of car thieves here, the daily Al-Watan reported yesterday. An undisclosed number of young Saudi men were arrested for working in three different groups: one assigned to targeting vehicles, the other charged with stealing the cars and the third assigned to fencing the stolen goods. All of the suspects are high-school dropouts. They confessed to the crime after being interrogated individually.
