RIYADH, 23 February 2007 -— Two cars worth SR120,000 each are at stake as the two hole-in-one prizes on the two par-3 holes, No. 7 and No. 11, in the Almarai Golf Tournament today at Dirab Golf Club here.
The cars are among the many mouth-watering prizes to be won in the 18-hole stroke play competition.
A return Swiss Air ticket to Europe plus many other prizes will be raffled off. Trophies and golf clubs worth SR14,000 await the division winners besides the awards for the longest drive and nearest to pin in what is expected to be another fun event at Dirab.
Also, sample products from Almarai will flood the course.
The VIPs from Almarai Co. who will attend today’s event are CEO Abdulrahman Alfadelli and Mansour Tayib, head of Public Relations Department.
As of the close of registration last night 110 players have signed up for the 7:30 a.m. shotgun-style teeoff.
This is the second major event in two weeks to take place at the premier golf club in the city under the supervision of Dirab Golf Club General Manager Bouchaib El Jadiani.
