Taiwan Attracts 3.5m Visitors in 2006

RIYADH, 4 April 2007 — Taiwan had more than 3.5 million visitors, a 4 percent increase from 2005, Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheng-tsung Yang, said here yesterday. Speaking on the occasion of Taiwan Food Festival held at Peninsula Seafood Restaurant, Yang said that among 124 countries around the world, Taiwan ranked No. 4 in Asia and 30th in the world based on the latest report on tourism competitiveness by The World Economic Forum.
