JEDDAH, 7 March 2007 — The Awasser Charity Society succeeded to bring 22 Saudi families back home from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Sweden, according to a local newspaper.

The society meets Saudi families that live abroad and assist them financially and socially and then help them to return when they decide to.

President of the society, Abdullah Al-Hamoud, said that after they come back the group assists the families in finding residence and offers them monthly allowances. Needy families that require long-term financial support join a charity society that accommodates them and helps in educating and employing them.

Awasser is now preparing to open branches outside the Kingdom.
