RIYADH, 22 March 2007 — Starting next month, Saudi Hollandi Bank (SHB) credit cardholders will receive hefty discounts on Emirates Airline flights based on a partnership contract signed here recently between SHB, Emirates Airlines, and Style and Concierge Ltd.

“All SHB credit cardholders will receive an 18 percent discount on all Emirates Airlines flights wherever that destination may be,” said Philip King, general manager, consuming banking in SHB. The agreement also covers all classes.

SHB credit cardholders will also get special prices on hotel booking, trips and rent-a-car, in addition to 8-10 percent discounts on the packages of Emirate Vacations, which are supported with 24-hour international phone services.

King said the agreement comes as part of the bank strategy to provide added value and special services to SHB credit cardholders. The discount benefits cover all categories of SHB credit cards.

“We believe that our clients are special and deserve all the care we can give them. That is why SHB is always seeking to offer them every unique and distinguished service. We also believe that our clients have the right to get premium services, simplified transactions and outstanding programs,” King added.

King told Arab News that SHB was aiming to be one of the third major credit card players in the Kingdom in the next two years.

Adnan Al-Maqhawi, MD of Style & Concierge Ltd, said: “We are delighted with signing this agreement, through which we will be able to provide high level personal services, benefits, exclusive services and discounts in travel and other fields for SHB credit cardholders.”

Abdulbasit Al-Suwaidi, regional manager of Emirates Airlines in Saudi Arabia, expressed his pleasure with this superior offer. “We will give credit cardholders of SHB a travel experience to remember to various destinations through our flights to 88 cities, in 56 countries distributed in five continents,” he said.
