DUBAI, 3 July 2007 — KMPK Properties, the recently formed joint venture Saudi company between businessman Prince Khalid bin Alwaleed and Dubai-based KM Properties, has announced its sponsorship to the first Saudi Businesswoman Award. KMPK Properties, which has made the empowerment of ladies central to its business plan, will lead the award.
Prince Khalid, chairman of KMPK Properties lauded the objectives of the Saudi Businesswoman Award. “Our main objective is to go a long way in increasing the involvement of women in business regardless to the level of involvement in the corporate ladder.” said Prince Khalid.
“This award is established to give women an insight about the foundation of any business model, regardless of the size or specialization of the business. We also hope that such an award will encourage businesswomen to do their best to inspire the younger generation in achieving their full potential in Saudi Arabia.” he said.
The Saudi Businesswoman Award initiative will be formally launched soon, with more details of specific award categories and entries. KMPK Properties is welcoming partners to make this a memorable event. The award is open to nationals as well as expatriates women in Saudi Arabia.
