JEDDAH, 24 July 2007 — Ghani Obeid, area manager of Starbucks coffee in the Western Province, launched yesterday Starbucks’ 13th Black Apron Exclusive the Zambia Terranova Estate Coffee in their Tahliah branch in Le Mall shopping center.
“As the name suggests, Black Apron Exclusive coffee represents the very best in a lineup of outstanding coffees,” said Obeid. “This African coffee features extremely complex flavors — particularly for a single-origin coffee,” said Abdul Elah Al-Hadidy, 20, a so-called “Starbucks Coffee Master”.
Black aprons labeled “Coffee Master” are worn by employees who have completed the Coffee Master course and achieved a high standing during their certification, which educates employees in not only the tasting, but also growing, roasting and purchasing (including fair trade practices) aspects of the coffee industry.
